Welcome to the Cotswold Music Tutors Summer Music Courses 2025
Summer Music Courses 2025
There are 4 courses running concurrently, junior, senior, jazz and string
starters.
The courses are located at Maidenhill School, Kings Road, Stonehouse, running from 9am til 5pm.
Students spend the mornings and late afternoons playing in a range of
ensembles, coached by an experienced team of fun and professional staff.
There are full orchestral rehearsals, string and wind ensembles, chamber
music and sectional work. Their work will culminate in 2 concerts.
Afternoons are a time for socialising, fantastically led by Andy Farrington
and his energetic and friendly welfare team, doing a range of fun organised
non-musical activities, activity workshops, rounders, and of course Quidditch!
Students often enjoy setting up their own informal ensembles/ choirs
etc during the lunch breaks.

must have had a minimum of 10 lessons. Please note also that the minimum

String Starters will perform in the concert on Thursday.

Cathy Hill will be conducting and coaching the junior musicians through a
variety of musical styles on this fun-packed course, alongside our wonderful
wind, brass and percussion coaches. This course is suitable for students
from grade 1 to 4/5 standard. Students will explore a diverse range of music.

throughout the week, they will also have sectional rehearsals, during
which coaching staff can offer detailed help and guidance.
The course culminates in 2 concerts, one on Thursday, and the final orchestral
concert on Friday evening. The junior and senior courses combine for a
massed item, to be performed in Friday’s Grand Finale Concert.
